How to become a writer
How To Become a Writer is a student film that I directed for the high school class Books to Film. The project was to adapt a short story into a film of about 30 minutes. The film was then presented at a screening and graded based on the quality of the film and the discussion we had after the screening with the audience. We got a 98 on the project, with the only notes from our teacher being that the title cards needed to be more creative.
The process of directing allowed me the creative freedom to mold the script into what I saw, and it was one of the most enjoyable and creative experiences I have had.

The video above was created and narrated by me for a school project where we had to represent a country as a team and come up with an issue that affects our country and a proposal on how to solve it. The videos were shown as part of a debate sequence and we came home with a first place trophy.

The video above was filmed by me when we were on a mission trip to John's Island, South Carolina to help rebuild homes. The video was filmed in one, improvised take and I added screen cards and some music. It was shown to our church when we returned from the trip and got a lot of laughs.

The video above was part of a final project I did in my first year of university. We had worked on a semester long project with the only instruction being to innovate something, and we had decided to create a charging system that uses underwater currents to charge autonomous underwater vehicles (AUV). This video was shown during our final presentation and served to explain our project idea quickly and in a way that could be easily understood. While we did not win the competition within the class, we came away with a 97% for the project, and I personally received extra points for the video production.
The video above was also from our annual trip to South Carolina, and it shows 3 days of hard work as we redid someone's roof from scratch. The video was compiled from footage from people's smart phones, including the timelapse videos, and I edited it together with music. This video was also shown to the church upon our arrival back home.

The video above was used as fake propaganda for a mock debate about World War One. I served on the French team, and our task was to come up with propaganda videos to be shown to the school throughout the duration of this month long project. The video is stock footage I found from YouTube, compiled and with some music added and my own narration.
