New York dance marathon at nyu
The New York Dance Marathon was started in 2013 by Alpha Epsilon Phi sorority at NYU. The dance marathon supports the B+ Foundation (pronounced Be Positive) for childhood cancer research and support of families who have been affected by cancer. NYDM has collectively raised over $2.4 million for the B+ Foundation. Between NYDM 2017 and NYDM 2018, we raised $1.2 million for the B+ Foundation, and we're still growing.
All of the graphics below were designed by myself for NYDM 2018. Our theme was Delete Cancer, with a retro wave/retro video game vibe. The graphics are for a variety of promotions, however, the majority of them were presented in a PowerPoint on the day of the event.
The image directly above was the logo for the 2018 dance marathon, and also served as the t-shirt design for all participants.

Above is the link to the NYDM website that I redesigned for the new year. It features a single scrolling format that is becoming more popular due to the use of mobile sites more frequently. The ides is to catch the eye on the larger text, as it depicts the most important aspects of our mission in only a few words, so even if you scroll quickly, you'll still be able to see our message.
The image above was displayed during a special section of the dance marathon when we invite childhood cancer survivors to the stage to receive capes and to be recognized. The graphic was created using Illustrator. The background is an image taken from Google that was color corrected through Illustrator. The second line of lettering was done by layering two gradient patterns on top of each other to create a chrome metal effect.
The image above was created using Adobe Illustrator and was presented during the dance marathon as a fundraising objective. The background is an image from Google that was manipulated using Illustrator's high fidelity photo image trace option. The image above was used on FaceBook to announce all performers for the dance marathon. The header was created using Adobe Illustrator and the background is an image from Google that was manipulated using Photoshop

The image above was printed as stickers which were used as promotional items for the event. The font used is called LEIXO, however, the "F" that the creator made needed to be manipulated for this design, as the top bar extended too far, making the "F" look like a "T."

The image above was used for our Snapchat promotion during the dance marathon. 2018 was the first year that we introduced Snapchat to our lineup of social media options and it proved to be very popular among the crowd who used the Geo-story to document their day.

The image above is a shirt design concept based on the NASCAR logo. We ended up printing two version of the design, both black and white. One shirt was black long-sleeved with the design running up the arm, and the second was a white short sleeve with the design across the chest.
The image above was also used as a shirt design for our NYDM launch party. Since the theme of our launch party was outer space, and launching into the new year for NYDM, it was only fitting that we used a NASA-esque logo for our shirts.
The video above was used at the very beginning of the dance marathon. When the image fades out, the executive board ran on stage and danced to the song that followed. All graphics including the opening were created using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for animation of the graphics.
Below is a collection of all the "players" along with special skills that we all picked for ourselves.
