The images in the slideshow above are edits I did on a photo that was taken for my high school yearbook as captains of the sailing team. We were imitating pirates, which is why the first edit was made. After that, more ideas kept coming to me, so I decided to make them come to life.
The image above is one edit taken from a collection that I put together of my friends and I during our high school career. I used photoshop to overlay an image of stars in outer space over the original image and used a mask to create the desired effect.
This is an image very dear to me. The original picture depicted one of my friends (pictured above to the left) who had fallen. Standing above her was another friend who was reaching down to help her up. The similarity between this original image and Michaelangelo's The Creation of Adam was striking, so I decided to make it a reality.
Shortly after, one of my friends tweeted the two images side by side with the caption "'Life imitates art far more than art imitates life.' -Oscar Wilde"

The image above was created using Photoshop. I took the original 3 photos of my sister jumping off a dock, and since the background was so static, I simply overlaid the images and erased the background of the top two, leaving a snapshot of three moments displayed in one image.
